A queer Sitcom at the end of the world
After its Brisbane season, Dax Savage: The Last Man on Earth is hitting the road. This January, Fake Blood Co. is taking the apocalypse south for a Melbourne season at _______, bringing our ridiculous, queer, end of the world sitcom to a whole new audience.
It’s the show’s first interstate season, and the next step for Dax Savage as it ventures from the brown snake into the horrible wasteland known as Melbourne.
“In a nutshell the show was so funny I forgot my vagina was in excruciating pain”
~ Kaleiderscopenews
Dax Savage: The Last Man on Earth is a queer sitcom at the end of the world. Join us 100 years after the fall of man and discover this strange new world, where “horrible freaks” roam, the sun burns too bright and there are no more “men”.
“Dax Savage is like the illicit love child of Rocky Horror and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – with an episode or two of Friends thrown in for timed laughs.”
~ Beth Keehn
This Brisbane based collective have created this bold new work through a collaborative and iterative based process drawing on the collective lived experiences of the cast and crew. Inspired by conversations, with that uncle that we all have, during the 2017 gay marriage plebiscite, Dax Savage fully realises that letting gays get married meant the end of our world. So join us in the slippery slope this January and celebrate the end of the world!
